Tiny Dancer Program Ages 2.5-7 We are very excited to have your Tiny Dancer join us! Below you will find some important information from our Tiny Dancer Program Director, Miss Jane. She is known around the area as the “Tiny Dancer Whisperer” and through her patience, expectations and appreciation for the little ones, she is THE BEST there is! Miss Jane has an entire curriculum for dancers ages 2 ½-7 that we use for teacher training for the future. Below you will find an explanation of our program in Miss Jane’s words for you to better understand the how and why how of our Tiny Dancer Program runs. We hope you will tell your friends to join us! The Tiny Dancer Program is designed for consistent, age-appropriate dance training. The levels are progressive building blocks for young dancers, utilizing combinations that increase in difficulty and skill as the dancer moves through the program. It is also valuable in terms of teacher training for young students, as each level class would be “on the same page”; any AADF teacher would be able to fill in, or take over a class, and the consistency in teaching would continue. Dress code is by level, with each Level of combo having its own color. Dress code helps in establishing discipline from the very beginning of a dancer’s training; and it is a “badge of honor” to move up to the next level and the next color. Once a month students may wear a different leotard and skirt on the last class of the month, which will be known as our Superstar Week! (No attached skirts please) -NO attached skirts. Skirts can be worn separately when appropriate. -Jewelry in dance class is distracting; hoop earrings are also dangerous.
