The Company at All American
The Company consists of dancers ages 14 and up that desire the commitment and training at a pre-professional level. The Company dancers will represent All American at Ballet Competitions, Dance Conventions, Dance Competitions and Workshops as well as performances in the area. Our goal is to offer a program to dancers that will result in them becoming one of the most well trained and well rounded dancers in the country, resulting in successful auditions for college dance programs, trainee programs and professional dance opportunities. We are looking for dancers that can’t wait to get to each class and would love to do more.
Requirements
The Company requires dancers to take classes in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary and an extra class of their choice each week. We encourage our dancers to take all of the classes available to them to be the most well rounded dancer they can be, which will give them more options in the future. Each dancer will commit to the group for the entire season, September-June. Each dancer will be committing to performing at all competitions that their pieces qualify for which may include Youth America Grand Prix, American Dance Competition Orlando/Daytona, New York City Dance Alliance Orlando workshop and competition, Onstage New York Competition Orlando and at least one more convention/competition during the year. The dancers will also partake in all Master Classes held at the studio and may be asked to attend extra rehearsals or open classes from time to time. Dancers must be 14 or older by January 1 to be considered for the company. Apprentice members must be 13 or older by January 1.
Rehearsals
The Company at All American will rehearse on Saturdays as a rule. Rehearsals and classes during the week are mandatory for dancers in The Company so that each dancer can rise to their potential.
